1. How many the effective reading distances of the reader are there? What will affect the reading distance?

There are many factors to affect the real reading distance. These contain the different protocol, antenna design, the surrounding environment (mainly metal) and different card etc. The reading distance of our desktop reader is 0--80mm. Jinmuyu does not pursue the reading distance, but be dedicated to the stability of the reader. The reader can't be operated at critical area of magnetic field, but in the powerful area of magnetic field which enhance the stability of the reader. The reader will be instable or failure, if the reading distance is too long. Meanwhile the reader, which is close to each other, will be also mutual interference. We recommend that the distance between the card reader keep in 25cm above. And the way of reading card is while using the card over against the reader, then closeing naturally to the reader. Using the card sweeps quickly to the reader from the side isn't right, that won't be guarantee success in reading card.

2. What is the smart card?
        Smart Card is one kinds of IC cards(integrated circuit card). According to the different embedded chip types, IC card can be divided into three groups:
        1)Memory card:

The integrated circuit of card inside is programmable read only memory--EEPROM. It only with data storage function, not data processing ability. Memory card itself is no hardware encryption functions, only in the document encryption, it is easy to be cracked.
        2)Logic encryption card:

The integrated circuit of card inside contains encryption logic circuit and programmable read only memory--EEPROM. To a certain extent, encryption logic circuit can protect the card and data of the card inside security; but just low level protection, it can't prevent malicious attacks.
        3)CPU card:

The integrated circuit of card inside is CPU, EEPROM, RAM and COS(Chip Operating System) which is solidified in the ROM. The data of the card contains the external reading and internal processing, to ensure the safety and reliability of the data in the card.
