1. Do we purchase domestic or imported card reader?

The price of the imported card reader is 6-10 times more than the domestic card reader. And the price of the imported card is 10-20 times more than the domestic card. The chip of the domestic card or reader derived from the abroad imported chip. We still does not have the development & production capacity of the chip for this field at home, so we recommend to purchase import cards and domestic card reader, in order to achieve the optimal performance to price ratio.

 

2. Don't judge the quality of the domestic card reader only from the appearance!

Domestic card reader is used mostly public mold, or copying foreign reader appearance. Mold is commonly used, so every body can buy them. Even if the same appearance card reader may come from different manufacturers, service and quality also is not the same. Systems integrators must know of the reader in detailed, not to judge only from the price&appearance. We recommend the systems integrators purchasing the reader from the place which selling access controler, commonly the manufacturer of access controler will be either supporting sales or sales of similar quality standard card reader. Then how to judge the quality of a card reader? In order to pursue the low production cost, some domestic reader manufacturers use analog circuit instead of PCD. And the operating current of the reader is big, so the reader easy to be dead halt or be damaged. We recommend not to choose. The proposal is using special import card reader with PCD chip will be better. Of course, the judgment is made also from the purchased reader which was used about half a year above or repair-rate and the quality & public praise. Besides the reader is a long time using equipment, so the circuit design must have the crash of the circuit protection, this also need pay more attention to.

3. Is it to choose sealing glue or not sealing glue card reader?

We recommend to choose not sealing glue card reader. The reason: 1) Even though using sealing glue, but the buzzer is still in outside, so it will damage the reader if inflowing water from the buzzer. 2) The materials of sealing glue is colophony kind, it is uneven to some sealing glue curing agent mixture of resin. 3) The price of domestic materials is cheap but quality is bad, after a long time of using there will be electric that will make the reader chaos or crash. And the import resin is expensive, domestic manufacturer generally didn't want to use them, this will be added ten RMB cost in each reader. 4) Also, sealing glue becomes "FIG leaf" of some manufacturers, and they cover up the poor circuit board design process with the sealing glue, even to sale repaired board which was resealed glue. 5) In addition, sealing glue is not good for equipment cooling, so it has influence to the performance of the card reader, once there is something wrong with the reader, the reader can't be repaired, just only be disposed of. So if not in special occasion, there is no need to make use of the sealing glue card reader, and just only do some waterproof protection of card reader for special occasions.
